So remember how mean I was last week when I posted this teaser photo about the AMAZING decor featured at the Casa Amore bridal showcase event?
Well, I’m going to torture you a bit more, because it’s fun.
First, I will show you some other elements before the big reveal. The first being these adorable cupcakes. How cute and lovely are they? For some reason, I have the urge to play dress-up.
And then there’s the “A Vintage Affair” table set-up, perfect for a wedding of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. (Although, I heard they couldn’t stand each other in real life. Who wouldn’t love Fred?!) I think this color scheme and set up would do very well for a bridal shower, too, although for that occasion I would scale down the centerpiece just a touch or two.
Before we get to my favorite part, let me know you what Casa Real’s Amber Room usually looks like:
While the picture doesn’t do it justice, it doesn’t scream soft, ethereal or overtly romantic. Now, check this out!
Seriously GORGEOUS, right?! Please excuse me while I pick my jaw up from off the floor.
I love the mixture of light and airy draping and the modern mixed with the traditional. As designer Nicole Ha told me, it’s both romantic and rustic, partly inspired by Anthropologie. She’s speaking my language!
Now I present the ceremony area:
Here we go again with combining things that are opposites — bare branches and soft flowers and ribbons — to create something beautiful. I think my favorite part may just be the lighted aisle runner. Genius! Nothing to trip over!
And there’s my groom, waiting to make his trek down the aisle. Wait, what? Aren’t I supposed to do that? Oh right, we’re already married. But hey, the decor from this event makes me want to do it all over again … with the same person, of course!
Here’s a video Matt took on his iPhone. The harp and the decor — heavenly.
While I’d like to think my photos are pretty good, these shots from Augie Chang and Tyler Vu show that I have a lot to learn. Be sure to check out their blogs for more pictures from this event.
