Casa Amore: Wedding and Party Sips, Bites & Decor

Last week, I was a big tease and just gave you a glimpse of the goodies at Casa Amore, a wedding showcase for brides and grooms at Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery.

Where were we? Oh yes, the lovely Casa Real.

Casa Real is the sister site to Palm Event Center, where Matt and I were married. It was still in the planning stages when we were planning our wedding, so it’s still so cool to see how it turned out.

When we walked in, we were greeted by staff at this posh counter. It’s not typically there, but perhaps it should be. So cute, and that blue is my color. Same as my bridesmaids’ dresses. And get a load of that lucite lamp!

I loved the sign-in setup. Cute display of pens and a place to put the scraps. We have low square drinking glasses like this at home and would work out just as well as these vases.

Above, we have the “something blue” cocktails that were ready to grab and go. I love the lemons in the drinks as decor, along with those used at the scallop station. I don’t really care for scallops and didn’t want to be distracted by the drinks — I felt like I was on the job! No relaxation for bloggers! — so Matt was the one to give the reviews. The drink? It tastes blue he said. Mission accomplished, I guess. The scallops? Best he’d ever had. Makes me wish I liked them.

See more sips, bites and decor when you read more…

I LOVED the Late Night Snack idea. There were two types of sliders/mini burgers. They were duck and beef, and I think I liked the duck the best. The milkshake shooters were so cute, but a little disappointing in that you essentially only get a couple sips. Above are the homemade chips, which I could have eaten all night.

This was the groom’s lemonade, which as you can see from the tag is a combo of beer and lemonade. I’m not much of a beer drinker, but thought it was tasty.

And don’t forget the cake! Turns out it’s hard to take good pictures of fancy cakes. These don’t even do them justice. My favorite part? The gum paste (I think?) flowers on the right. They were so intricate and pretty!

And because one dessert just isn’t enough, get a froyo (frozen yogurt) machine. Don’t forget the toppings!

Now onto the decor!

This first style was called Southern Charm. The top picture is deceiving, it’s actually a fresh and springy look. In addition to light green checked linens, each place setting had a red candy apple. Don’t forget the bright flowers and the mason jar water glasses.

This is Dolce Vita, a wine theme. Initially, since we were married at a vineyard, we considered the wine theme. Everything I saw, however, just seemed so stuffy and not modern. I wish I had seen this. I love the lime green contrast against the deep wine colors in the napkin ring and glasses. It’s hard to see, but each favor is a mini wine bottle. Cute!

Yellow was popping against the black in the Chic Noir section. Look at those colors and textures! Essentially, it’s a simple idea but carried out beautifully. The flowers and candles at varying heights helps to keep the table from looking cluttered. Using different types of flowers also keeps it from being just “one note,” which is a challenge in that strict color scheme.

Mixing some Chic Noir with the Li Xi theme, we see that a single bright color will do the trick. Look at that arrangement to the right. It’s almost like a firework burst of flowers.

Now some decor for the body… check out the bridesmaids dress! The gown is nice too, but I ADORE that blue number. (See, I told you that color is my color!)

Now, we must say goodbye to Casa Real until later this week when I show you my favorite part of the evening. This place is huge and you can tell that a lot of thought and care went into the finishing details.

  1. My friend got married at the Palms Center…. that area was sooo nice! :) If I ever get married, I’ve already planned out a French type theme at a winery haha.

Thanks for the mental note ;) These were GORGEOUS btw.

  2. Monique — Seriously, the place is awesome. We were adamant to have vines in the background of our ceremony, and you’d be surprised how hard that is to find around here. Oh, to have another wedding again… I totally get why people do the vow renewals now. Why not throw another awesome party with all your favorite people?

  3. Thank you so much for the coverage of the event! I’m glad you were able to attend and share your impressions and photos with everyone. Thank you also to the link to our website!
