These cookies are amazing. I made them for church a few weeks ago, and the girls asked for the recipe. So I figured, I might as well put it here. I first tasted these back in December, back at my Betty Crocker Cookie Exchange Party when Holly brought them. A few weeks ago, she made them as wedding favors — great idea!
This is all you need to make the cookies; the recipe is actually very easy, but you can pretend like it takes a lot more work. It is just that tasty!
Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies
Recipe from Holly Groseth
Ingredients:
- 1 Package Devil’s Food Cake
- 1 Stick Butter
- 1 Package (8 oz.) Cream Cheese
- 1 Egg
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 2 cups Chocolate Chips
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Mix together the softened cream cheese & butter (best if you use an electric mixer). Add egg and vanilla. Gradually mix in the cake mix. Mix in chocolate chips (I used a spoon for this, it was not working with the electric mixer).
Spoon Tablespoon sized morsels onto greased cookie sheets (as per usual, I use parchment paper).
I use that awesome small ice cream scoop for making the perfect sized cookies. It makes sure that each cookie is the same size!
Bake for 9 to 10 minutes. Be careful not to overcook them, or they will be dry.
If you make these, people will be begging you for the recipe, trust me! And yes – I did make a double batch. I just knew how quickly they would be eaten!
