For some, you are currently reveling in America’s independence. This week, we are all celebrating the loss of independence, in a way. Yes, it’s Wedding Week again here on NewlyWife since Matt and I celebrate our second anniversary tomorrow. To kick things off, I thought I’d share some moments from our wonderful wedding, just like Megan did back in our first Wedding Week in March.
It’s so hard to narrow down the photos from our wedding to fit one blog post, but this will manage for now. Thanks to Joel Flory and his wife Cara of Flory Photo, for these awesome photos.
It’s a good thing I’ll come back later this week and share more pictures to go over the details and how to add personality in your wedding. But here’s a sneak peak:
First, I started my day with some of my favorite ladies. You may notice a certain Matron of Honor in this picture as my blogging cohort. Also pictured are my good friends Christine and Sara. Not pictured, but still counting as some of my favorite ladies were my mom, friends Sandy and Megan who did our makeup, and Jen who did my hair.
Of course, you can’t forget Matt and his groomsmen.
One of the favorite parts of the whole day, besides getting married, of course, is one of the main reasons I use to dissuade friends wanting to elope. Our wedding had all most of our favorite people in the world in that spot. There are very few times where this happens. Celebrating with the ones you love really makes all the difference. And you can better believe that there was plenty of it.
We started things off with an awesome dinner and dancing.
The dance floor heated up from there. It was wild and crazy. My parents and their friends were dancing with our friends and our DJ friend kept it going.
We were so sad that the night had to end. How stupid of us not to have paid the extra $500 or whatever to have it go on for another hour. It would have been money well spent! An unplanned bonus awaited us as we made our exit. Everyone took their Frisbee favors and raised them in air, and did an arch/tunnel as we made our way to the car. It was one of those moments where I made sure to take it all in.
Hope you enjoyed the recap of one of my favorite days ever. Stick around this week for more wedding fun.

Thanks Monique! The frisbees were an absolute must. One of our splurges for sure because the legit ones aren’t cheap!
Thanks! It was fun being the bride.
I was just thinking about your wedding this weekend – it was seriously the most fun wedding I’ve been to EVER.
