It was a NewlyWife meet-up again this weekend when Megan and her husband Matthew came up for an early Christmas. She came over on Saturday when Matt and I throw our annual Christmas party. We thought we would shake things up at the bar and share a couple of cocktail recipes with you. Check out our video!

For those who can’t watch the video, we made a Peppermint Patty and a Tradewinds.

Peppermint Patty

• Peppermint Schnapps
• Chocolate syrup

This is more like a fun shot. Fill a shotglass with peppermint Schnapps and then have a friend ready with the bottle of chocolate syrup. Squeeze some chocolate syrup in your friend’s mouth, then have them take the shot of peppermint schnapps. You have to shake your head around for the full effect.

Tradewinds

(from the Beach House restaurant in Kaui, HI)

• Coconut Rum
• Peach Schnapps
• Pineapple Juice
• Cranberry Juice

Mix equal parts of the four ingredients over ice in a shaker. Shake and pour into a tall glass with a little ice. If you want extra bonus points, put a few frozen cranberries in the drink to help keep it cold and not get watery.
