Recycled Wine Bottles = Tumblers

A few months ago I saw these awesome glasses on my friend Leslie’s blog. This San Diego based company, Bottlehood, takes old beer and wine bottles and turns them into drinking glasses — how cool is that?  They also turn bottles into bowls and vases.  I love both the idea of reusing bottles and having funky new glasses. Bottlehood sent me a few glasses to review, and both Matt and I love them.

A set of 6 gorgeous tumblers

I liked them enough to order a set of beer bottle tumblers for my bro. He went to school in San Diego and he loved receiving glasses of his favorite local beer from his college days.

I love how hefty these glasses are.  They feel indestructible.  And they keep your drinks cool.  Mostly, I love that I get to reuse something in a new and unique way, it gives a whole new meaning to reduce, reuse, recycle!  If you are interested, check out their website, etsy, or facebook page.

Posing with my awesome glass

The one downside is that some of the glasses have punts, which is the high bump on the bottom of the glass.  It gets full of water (and sometimes sediment) in the dishwasher.  Other than that, they are amazing!   In ordering the tumblers for my bro, I learned that they have great customer service and the website is very easy to navigate.  Check out their site and let me know what you think!

Disclaimer:  Bottlehood did send me glasses to review, but my opinions are my own.  All pictures, except the one of me, are from Bottlehood.
