I’ll be upfront and honest: life is a little too crazy for me to have Valentine’s Day decor this year. Having just launched NewlyWife, work and life demands, and wanting to wait until the after-holiday sales to find some items, decorating with heart doilies and such aren’t even on my to-do list yet. That doesn’t mean I can’t check out what other people are doing and what goodies I could put on my wishlist.
Here are a few inspirations from Houzz, one of my favorite home design inspiration sites:
Both pieces of art are awesome and possible to do variations yourself (although Jennifer Ramos’/Made By Girl’s art is pretty dang affordable). The heart-shaped door lock on the other hand is a little harder to come by. Let me know if you can find something like it, because I sure can’t.
Get the love cookin’ in the kitchen with these:
How cute will your kitchen be when you Valentines-ize it? Clockwise from top left: Heart Measuring Cups ($9.99), Heart Mixing Bowls ($39.99), Love Silicone Baking Pan ($13.98, sale), and what says “I love you” more than a hot pink knife? Super Sharp Colori Paring Knife for Top Chefs ($11.50).
And, because I’m a sucker for Etsy, here are some great gift ideas (hint, hint):
Clockwise from top: Belongs to You Mini Triptych ($14), Aqua Wall Birds ($19), remember that you said “yes” with another ring with the Oui Ring ($7), and don’t forget your man with a loving and selfless gift I Love My Wife T-Shirt ($14.95).
What do you decorate for Valentine’s Day?
